IT'S HERE!!!

We'll I FINALLY got it!
I woke up this morning slightly anxious to see if my call would arrive today. Bishop Lott said it should be coming this week. So I went to school hoping to stay busy for as long as possible. I came home at four o' clock, walked into my apartment, dropped everything on the couch, grabbed the mailbox key, walked to the mailbox and assumed they wouldn't cram the packet into the small slot so it must be in one of the bigger boxes. The first thing I saw was the kep needed to open the larger mail boxes and I got excited then I looked up and realized the huge envelope was right behind the keys. I had to stife a shriek of joy - not kidding.
I wasn't going to open it until 7:30 that evening so the next three hours were a bit crazy. I brought my envelope everywhere with me, and every now and then I went from completely giddy and sqealing in front of my roommates to quiet and contemplative. I didn't know where I'd be called but during the last hour I told my roommates that I wanted to go foreign really bad and because of that Heavenly Father was calling me stateside.
Everyone put their guesses on the map and I sat there watching everyone anxiously. Finally it was 7:25. Five minutes to go and I was getting really nervous, I almost wanted to wait longer because there was so much pressure in that room! Finally I ripped off the envelope and tossed it aside. Everyone in my apartment was standing up, staring, and the 10 people on skype were all staring as well. I placed the packet in front of the call letter. I got so nervous i'd begin reading then stop. I think I actually spun once before I actually began to read it, I was so excited! I finally began and read one line at a time:
Dear Sister Davis:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the California San Diego Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months.
You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, Februauy 9, 2011. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the English language. Your assignment may be modified according to the needs of the mission president.
I knew it - in states. :) I was happy for it and the more I thought about it the more I was sure that was where the Lord wanted me. So, sorry Canary Islands, maybe I'll visit you later. Well now I just need to get ready and WAIT! Oh brother! This is going to be the longest 3 1/2 months EVER!
